F.A.Q. ( Frequently asked questions )

Q: Why should I choose Dermatude Meta Therapy?

A: Clients can wear makeup again the next day

Q: What about the recovery period of their skin and wearing makeup?

A: Contrary to other treatments, Meta Therapy does not affect the skin’s protective barrier. After the treatment, the skin may show some minor redness, but this will reduce in a matter of hours. You will be able to get back to your daily activities immediately after the treatment and wear make-up the following day.

Q: Which areas may be treated with Meta Therapy?
A
: You can opt for skin improvement and anti-aging of the whole face, neck and/or décolletage, as well as targeted treatments of specific areas which will help smooth the appearance of fine lines It is even possible to combine treatments to achieve the best result.

Q What will be the treatment interval?
A:
The treatment always starts with a course of 4 weekly treatments, followed by 4 treatments every 2 weeks, and afterward, a periodical maintenance treatment to maintain the achieved result. The full facial treatment takes approximately 45 minutes.

Q: What are the differences between a Needle Roller and Meta Therapy?
A:
A needle roller is a cylinder with needles that is rolled over the skin. The face is not a flat plane but contains areas that are rounded and curved. Therefore, not all needles of the roller penetrate the skin to the same depth. Another factor to take into account is how hard the roller is pressed. When too much pressure is applied, the needles penetrate too deeply, which may result in scar tissue and skin rigidity Meta therapy is not an invasive treatment like needle rolling, it does not penetrate living tissue. Meta therapy is non-invasive and uses specially developed polycarbonate modules that remove dead skin cells of the stratum corneum.

Q: Why should I choose Meta Therapy instead of a Needle Roller?
A:
Meta therapy is completely non-invasive and does not penetrate living tissue so it does not cause bleeding. In a trial, users reported no discomfort when treated with Meta therapy. The treatment has no real downtime. After a treatment, your skin will be red, but this will subside within a couple of hours – you can then reapply your makeup.

Q: What are the differences between Meso Therapy and Meta Therapy?
A:
Meso Therapy is a procedure that requires only one needle. The injections with the active ingredients are administered in specific areas, but the distance and depth of the injections cannot be controlled. Because of the larger distance and the limited number of injections, Meso Therapy does not activate the natural cell regeneration of the skin. Neither does it activate the production of collagen and elastin.

Q: Why should I choose Meta Therapy instead of Meso Therapy?
A:
Unlike Meso therapy that targets specific areas of the face,
Meta Therapy treats the whole of the face easily and efficiently giving a uniform result.

Q: What are the differences between Micro-Needling and Meta Therapy?
A:
Micro-needling like needle rollers create thousands of perforations in the skin, leading to a localized wound healing response. The treatment is invasive and requires the use of topical anesthesia. There is significant downtime of between 5-8 days after a micro-needling procedure. The patient will need to wear a protective sunblock and avoid the sun. Meta therapy is completely non-invasive and there is no discomfort and because it only removes the superficial layers of the skin called the stratum corneum it doesn’t cause bleeding and therefore has no real downtime. After a treatment, your skin will be slightly red, but this will subside within a couple of hours – you can then reapply to makeup.
